Paris luxury hotel wedding affair

Have you ever dreamed of a fairytale wedding? Well if you’re like me, you’ve fantasized about a grand and luxurious wedding day. These weddings are possible in Paris. Whether it’s a wedding ceremony at the Ritz or a dinner reception at the Shangri-La, your dreams can come true here in the city of love with the help of some of our favorite luxury hotels.

Last month our wonderful inhouse photographer photographed a stunning hotel at the Ritz Hotel at the Place Vendome. The couple Arnett and Lauren came all the way to Paris from Cincinnati and invited 60 guests to watch them tie the knot in style. They planned their wedding to the tee with the help of the incredible Ritz event staff. The bride chose pink peonies for her bouquet and wedding decor. Lauren looked stunning in her Mira Zwillinger gown with the backdrop of the elegant gold accents of the Ritz walls and the blooming pink flowers.

If you’re thinking of a luxurious Paris wedding like Lauren and Arnett’s, here are some of our favorite hotels in the city of light.

Ritz Paris Hotel at the Place Vendome
The Ritz Hotel offers different packages and options for the ceremony and reception. With wonderful chefs and staff, you are guaranteed some of the best service and food that Paris has to offer. Not only is there haute cuisine, the Ritz can accommodate each of your wedding guests with all kinds of amenities from babysitting to stunning rooms and suites. The Ritz has gorgeous ballrooms and salons for you to hold your ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for true luxury and tradition, the Ritz should be on your list of dream wedding venues.

Shangri-La Hotel
The Shangri-La Hotel in the 16th arrondissement is an elegant and chic hotel with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. From the lobby of the hotel to the many salons, the Shangri-La looks like a true palace. Their helpful and professional staff ensure that your experience is luxurious and truly memorable. Their wedding staff can accommodate everything from cocktail receptions for up to 500 people, to an intimate 8 person dinner in a salon. The Shangri-La simply must be on your list of Paris wedding venues to check out.

Four Seasons George V Paris
The George V is located mere steps from the Champs-Elysees and is quintessentially Parisian. From its vast art collection to its Michelin Star restaurant, the George V defines luxury and culture. The hotel staff will make sure that your wedding day is one of a kind. The chefs work with you to find a menu that meets your needs and tastes for your wedding day, after all, food is one of the most important parts of the reception. The grand salons are perfect for a dream wedding day and the George V staff takes care of everything so that you can simply enjoy the gorgeous decor and flowers. I can’t think of anything more romantic than a wedding at the Four Seasons George V.

Westin Paris
The Westin Paris is located in the true heart of Paris at Vendome. This hotel is located a few steps from the Tuileries Gardens and has a divine view of the Eiffel Tower. With thirteen wedding rooms to choose from and the capacity for 600 wedding guests, this is the spot for a truly unique and grand Paris wedding. If you really want to dream and have some fun, you can go on their website you can look at different salon and table setup options!

These are some of my favorite Paris hotels for weddings. With incredible accommodations and the French savoir-faire, you can’t go wrong with a luxury Paris wedding.

Paris elopement with Elyse & Trent

Elyse and Trent arrived all the way from Australia to celebrate their love in Paris. The gorgeous couple decided on an intimate elopement in the city of love. After discussing the romantic vision that Elyse and Trent were hoping for, WeddingLight Events helped choose the perfect locations for the ceremony, reception, and photoshoot.

The weather on the day of the elopement was authentically Parisian, meaning light rain and bursts of sunshine. I arrived in the afternoon at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal to meet the charming young couple. The beautiful bouquet and boutonniere made of peonies had already arrived, delivered and arranged by Estelle Preston’s flower services. Elyse was in her private room getting ready and being pampered by the incredible makeup and hair team, Fred and Muriel. Elyse looked picture perfect with her loose blonde waves and subtle make-up. Trent returned to the room and was taken aback by his beautiful bride and they toasted with champagne. The hair and makeup team and I left the room to give the couple some privacy and so that Elyse could slip into her stunning sleeveless lace gown by designer Grace Loves Lace

Soon after, our inhouse photographer, Olivier Lalin, arrived at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal to take photos of the couple in their room before the ceremony began. Olivier guided the couple outside to the gardens of the Palais Royal, just a few steps from the hotel. They continued their photoshoot now that the rain had stopped and the sky was clearing up. The officiant arrived and the couple headed farther into the gardens to the most romantic spot for their vows.
Elyse and Trent stood out wonderfully in front of the green trees and grey sky. They exchanged vows and the moment they kissed, the sun came out! It was true magic.

The excited couple walked around the garden for a series of romantic photos to share with their loved ones. Olivier and I brought them to the classic Mercedes and chauffeur that awaited them. Elyse and Trent were driven around accompanied by Olivier for a stunning photo tour of Paris. They stopped at all of the iconic locations including the banks of the Seine, Eiffel Tower, champ de mars and the place de la Concorde. Olivier is an amazing photographer and managed to capture the most stunning candid shots of the newlyweds.

After their idyllic day, the couple was chauffeured to the Michelin restaurant Epicure for an elegant romantic dinner for two. The elopement day was truly one of a kind. I was awestruck by the beautiful couple, Elyse and Trent. Their happiness exuded in person and in the photographs. Please enjoy the lovely photos by Olivier Lalin from WeddingLight Paris.

Shelby & Steve married in Paris this past week end. Shelby wanted an outside ceremony where 12 of their friends and family members could gather to celebrate their union. Square Jean XXIII was the perfect location. Olivier from WeddingLight took them around town for a few hours for an unforgettable photo tour. They had their wedding reception at ” Les Ombres” restaurant. The view of the Eiffel tower is such a marvel from the terrace. We just wanted to thank all of our vendors who did an amazing job.
Congratulation to the newly weds from WeddingLight events Paris. It was wonderful to be able to be part of such an amazing afternoon in the city of love.

Paris Shangri-La Elopement

Our last february elopement at the Shangri-La …. Rain, Rain, Rain but nothing stopped our couple and their intimate group of buddies to have some fun and celebrate their wedding in style. The ceremony took place at night under the archades of the Louvres! We waited and waited for the rain to stop and it never did so we just went for it. Everyone was wonderful, and we all had the best of time.

The photographs of their wedding are showcased on Olivier’s blog from WeddingLight Paris. They are gorgeous!! He did a tremendous job regardless of the very poor weather conditions.

Laura and Richard eloped to Paris. Close family members flew from Boston to gather at the gardens of the Trocadero for their wedding celebration. We almost moved the ceremony location at the last minute due to chance of a thunder storm which did not happen until much later. It was the first time that we organize a wedding ceremony at the gardens of the Trocadero for a client’s elopement. It was quite gorgeous, very peaceful and quite moving. Laura and Richard went on a two hours photo tour in the streets of Paris with Olivier from WeddingLight. They decided on a 1970’s Excalibur to take them around town. Edith from “Une Fleur en Liberté” composed a beautiful summer wedding bouquet and boutonniere.

It was a real pleasure to plan their intimate parisian wedding. Everyone had a wonderful time & thank god it didn’t rain on the day.
