  • Paris Wedding: Dina and Jason’s Lovely Church Ceremony

Dina contacted us last year about helping with her Paris wedding plans and earlier this month the big day finally arrived! Dina and Jason along 28 of their closest friends and family joined them at a lovely stone church overlooking the Seine river for an intimate ceremony. The pastor created a wonderful text and Dina’s sister included a special poem, “I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)” by e.e. cummings. Following the ceremony, the elegant couple was whisked away in a stunning luxury town car for some photos around the City of Light with our wonderful photographer, Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight Photography. After a few hours of snapping shots all around town, Dina and Jason once again joined their group in a private salon for a traditional French dinner at one of Paris’ oldest restaurants.

It was certainly a pleasure assisting Dina and Jason and we so happy that enjoyed their wedding in Paris! Many congratulations!

You can find more of Dina and Jason’s breathtaking photos on our photographer’s blog here and here.

  • Paris Wedding: Jan and Jeremy from California, USA

Our dear clients Jan and Jeremy from San Diego married in Paris yesterday under a big cloudy sky and hardly a drop of rain. With 32 friends and family it was one of the biggest weddings we’ve  organized this year but we love a good challenge! Everything ran like clockwork, from the ceremony in front of the Eiffel Tower to the boat ride along the Seine… not to mention the delicious reception dinner at L’Ilot Vache. Olivier had the pleasure of accompanying the happy couple on their intimate photo tour of Paris – here’s a sneak peak of what they got up to!

Jan and Jeremy were a joy to work with and we loved hearing their romantic tales – Jan’s dress was worn not only by her mother but also her mother’s friend, then it was tailored to fit Jan by Jeremy’s mother… that’s her something borrowed ticked off! Oh and if you’re wondering (and we know you are) that beautiful bouquet was made by our friend Estelle from Estelle Flowers.

We can’t thank Jan and Jeremy enough for letting us be a part of their amazing day, what a way to start a lifetime together! For more gorgeous photos of the lucky couple visit Olivier’s WeddingLight blog

  • Inspiration: Paris Black and White Photography

Like a romantic scene from an old movie – black and white film captures an essence that’s not the same with color photos. Who remembers how in love we all fell with the movie The Artist; the black and white silent film with french actors Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo?

It captures a depth that more and more couples demand from their Paris wedding photographer. We are happy that we have a great team to suggest to our clients visiting Paris, who want this classic French touch.

We try to have all our couples at ease rather quickly.  To be fully comfortable with your photographer or videographer is no easy work if you’re not a model, but we make the process easier by making sure that you have access to your Paris wedding photographer
or videographer to ask as many questions before hand and build up a rapport.

Paris has no shortage of lovely places; gardens, fountains and chic streets to take your photos. You can choose to do a shoot that includes all the iconic places.  Or not. You can also choose to do a shoot Off-the-Beaten-Path that includes places of interest based on your particular areas of interest (music, art, food, etc). The photographers from WeddingLight are always receptive to talk about your vision of your day.
