  • Paris Wedding: Aisha and Ben’s Intimate Park Ceremony

Aisha and Ben first met each other at work. After becoming friends and then spending some time together outside of the office, it became apparent that there was something more. On a family skiing trip in March of 2014, Ben proposed at the bottom of the slope. Pretending to help Aisha with her “broken binding,” he got down on one knee and as she looked down, Ben was there with the ring in hand and popped the question! Not long after, they began discussing wedding plans and Ben jokingly suggested that they elope to Paris. After a little bit of research, Aisha got in contact with us and decided that an intimate ceremony in Paris was the perfect way to celebrate their special day.

Deciding to not see each other until the ceremony, Aisha and her maid of honor prepared in a gorgeous apartment just across the way from the Eiffel Tower. Both were pampered and primped by our fabulous hair and makeup team before our photographer, Olivier of WeddingLight Photography, stopped by for some photos. After stepping into her beautiful blue Christain Louboutin heels and grabbing her lovely handmade brooch bouquet, Aisha was whisked away to Parc Monceau where she was awaited by an intimate group of friends and family. As she walked up towards the bridge, Ben turned around and saw his beautiful bride for the first time. Igor, one of our friendly officiants, then began the ceremony and when they were finished there was a traditional breaking of glass since Ben is Jewish. Following the ceremony, a few photos were taken around the charming park. Then Aisha and Ben were ready for their Photo Tour through Paris with Olivier. After snapping shots around some of the city’s most iconic locations for a few hours, their driver dropped the couple off at Le Train Bleu for a celebratory dinner with their loved ones.

Mozel Tov to the happy couple!

  • Paris Wedding: Cathy & Patrick’s Intimate December Wedding

Cathy and Patrick came to WeddingLight Events to help them plan a beautiful intimate ceremony in one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world.

The Brisbane based couple knew from the very beginning that they wanted to have their ceremony in Paris – The City of Lights. They privatised a gorgeous Parisian monument,  a stunning chapel, for their intimate ceremony with their two sons and closest friends and family by their side. Cathy spent the morning with her bridal party in her lovely apartment in the chic 7th arrondissement of Paris getting pampered by our favorite hair and makeup duo, Fred and Muriel. The bride wore an elegant long-sleeved dress in white crocheted lace with a french twist for the ceremony and held a bouquet of bright white roses with bold emerald green leaves.

The chapel ceremony was officiated by one of our friendly English-speaking officiants, Igor, who gave a touching speech and provided them with a beautiful certificate at the end. Following the ceremony, the guests along with the bride and groom went on a Paris photo tour with our talented Paris photographer, Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight Photography. Making their way around the city, they shot photos on the L’île Saint-Louis, Musée du Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, the Eiffel Tower and more stunning Paris photography locations! Afterwards, the group took a pause at one of Paris’ chic hotel bars before heading over to an infamous restaurant for dinner that holds one of the best views in Paris that includes, of course, the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Cathy and Patrick were such a wonderful couple to work with and we were more than happy to help them create such special memories here in Paris during this holiday season. The family spent their Christmas in their rue Saint Dominique apartment and then flew to Italy for the remainder of the honeymoon trip.
