  • Outdoor Paris Wedding and Love Lock Bridge

Today we are organizing an intimate wedding at an outdoor location here in Paris, and on my, way with my bicycle I couldn’t help but snap a photo of all the padlocks along this bridge on the Seine River.

The Love Lock bridge has a fascinating history here in Paris, especially for romantic couples who come from all over the world to confess their love to each other, attach their padlocks then throw the keys in the Seine River as a symbol of their everlasting love for each other. For others, some Parisians, it’s a sight for sore eyes that has constantly been a battle between romanticism and excess (they’ve even gone so far as to have asked the city hall to remove them, to no avail, as they were soon back within a week or so).

    L’amour Fou. We love it!

  • Paris Elopement Video: Jennifer & Donny from Louisiana USA

One of our Real Weddings here at WLE Paris – our clients Jennifer and Donny decided to Elope to Paris with the blessing of their family. It was our pleasure to work with them to create a wedding ceremony at one of the most beautiful chapels in Paris: the Chapelle Expiatoire.

A beautiful Rose and Peony bridal bouquet accompanied her delicate Monique Lhuillier wedding gown. As her viel blew in the Parisian wind she walked along the Seine River with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the backdrop.

    Félicitations to the happy couple!

An intimate symbolic wedding ceremony in Paris is our speciality. We are in love with this engagement photo overlooking the Eiffel Tower.  The bride leaning against her groom, both looking stunning and happy, as they should be, while the sun goes down over Paris.

We have a list of some of the best spots to take those perfect iconic photos that show that you’re in Paris and not any other city, after all eloping to Paris is partially about the Parisian charm.

The photographer vendors we recommend are all English speaking and the best in Paris. They have years of professional experience at putting clients from different countries and cultures at ease before the camera.  This photo was taken by Olivier Lalin at Weddinglight Paris.

Our Hair and Make-up teams are also English speaking and are always available to receive photos of the brides dresses, hair etc before the meeting in Paris where you’ll get all dolled up.

Whatever location you choose to marry in Paris, or around France, we also have Male and Female Wedding celebrants that are bilingual and English speaking.

We provide a detailed description of the client needs to all vendors along with a timeline of your days activity. We eliminate the stress that can come with planning one of the most important days in your life. Weather you’re a very easy-going couple who just needs light planning assistance or a hands-on couple who needs more of a full planning service, we are here to help you in Paris or anywhere in France.

  • Proposing at the Eiffel Tower: Tips and 5 (other) Places to propose in Paris

As English speaking wedding planners in Paris we’ve helped many couples realize this dream. Few things compare to the romance of asking the love of your life to marry you in Paris. We frequently get questions about wedding ceremonies and proposals at the famous Tour Eiffel and we wanted to dish out some of our favorite spots to suggest for proposals.

Proposals in general are both exciting and a bit stressful: you have to decide if you want to do it in public, what words will you say, should you go down on one knee, and the list goes on.  Let’s say you’re in the process of thinking that you’d like to prose to your girlfriend at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on your next trip, you’re doing your google searches to see what previous couples have to say, as well as see if you can find some photos of what to expect.

When we think that the Eiffel Tower receives the most visits than any other iconic Parisian monuments, we want you to be prepared that no matter the time of day you go,  you could still be in for a long line and  maybe even a crowd.

So if intimacy is your primary concern we’d like to suggest some other Parisian locations that are also iconic, or have the Eiffel Tower in the backdrop where you can still engage and awe your wife-to-be!

For those of you seeking a place that is still “Parisian” and “romantic” but less crowded and more of an intimate setting here are some of the places we’d typically recommend with amazing scenery or views to the Tower.

    1. Gardens de Palais de Challoit at Trocadero – Has a view of the Eiffel Tower the Palais de Challoit is representative of Architecture from the 1930s with two large pavilions, easily accessible on foot from the Eiffel Tower and a lot less crowded.

    2. Champs de Mars  – This big public garden in Paris primly located between the Eiffel Tower and L’Ecole Militaire.  It’s vast spread of grass is perfect for a picnic: spend a late evening lounging with some French wine, cheese and baguette and you could propose as the Eiffel Tower lights up.

    3. Pont Alexandre III – Talk a romantic stroll along the Seine and propose here afterwards. Arguably the most beautiful bridge in Paris to propose. It’s gold statues; nymphs, cherubs, boasts an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower and is located right over the Seine river.
