Paris Elopement: Liza & Ira’s Palais Galliera Elopement
We had the great pleasure of helping an amazing couple, Liza and Ira, plan their very special vow-renewal here in Paris. After passing through some very emotional personal events during the planning process, the New Jersey couple’s time in the City of Love became extremely important. WeddingLight Events, of course, was only too happy to help them make their dream ceremony a reality. We feel so fortunate to have clients like Liza and Ira who so truly trust in our abilities to do what we love most!
Liza and Ira have been together for 10 years and exchanged vow in front of a stunning marble statue titled, “Protection and Future,” by Honoré Icard framed by glorious marbled columns. After a heartwarming tearful exchange, the couple shared a dance together as husband and wife before venturing off in their vintage Jaguar MK V for a tour of the city with their photographer, Olivier Lalin. The couple finished the evening with a divine dining experience at one of Paris’ most sought out restaurants: Alain Ducasse’s Restaurant at Le Meurice.
Liza was kind enough to send us a few touching words about our work, which we are very, very grateful to hear…“I finally had a few moments to sit quietly and go through Olivier’s photos today, and I have to say I was completely moved. Somehow he captured the essence of how Ira and I feel for each other while including every special request I made including the amazing architecture and beautiful imagery. I knew he would be a great photographer, which is how I made my decision to go with him and WeddingLight Events, but I really wanted to let you know that your whole team — the hair, the makeup, the flowers, and your recommendation of venue for the vows, your own extreme attention to detail — everything about this experience was beyond compare — I cannot recommend you highly enough to other brides; You went above and beyond through all the crazy that was in our lives, helped me through the trauma of [some unexpected personal events] and the stress and worry of planning this experience from an ocean away. In the end, it turned out more special than I ever imagined possible — thank goodness for the one day of sun!! The photos of Ira as he said he vows to me brought tears back all over again. The great photos of us laughing and truly enjoying the city, the experience, and each other are priceless.
For everything you and Olivier did for us — Merci x 1,000,000,000!”

Paris Elopement: Cassie & Eric from Michigan, USA
Meet Cassie and Eric from Michigan, USA. The gorgeous couple came to Paris for their honeymoon before heading to Rome for the remainder of their trip – oo la la! How romantic! Being that this was their first time in the City of Love, they wanted to do something extra special to commemorate their time here and of course the occasion. So naturally they contacted our fabulous photographer, Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight Photography, to do a Paris Photo Tour around the city. Cassie wore her wedding gown and Eric wore his tuxedo and the two spent 4 full hours shooting around the city. What wonderful memories they will have looking back on this trip!
Congratulations Cassie and Eric! We wish you all the best!

Paris Elopement: Natasha & Otto from Hong Kong
Natasha and Otto eloped to Paris yesterday. We decided at the last minute to do the photo session before the ceremony at the Chapel expiatoire to try to get the morning light and quiet streets. We got little drizzle, well it rained! By the time we finished, it was pouring down and today sunday it has been raining all day. We’ve been lucky in a way. There is a saying in French that says “Mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux” translating to ” rainy wedding, happy life together. ” It didn’t stop our sweet couple from Hong Kong from happily celebrating their union with a few friends at the Chapel Expiatoire. Here are a few photos of the wedding, that Olivier our Paris wedding photographer took for us yesterday. Thanks to Estelle for the lovely bouquet, Dominique our driver for running around with umbrellas as well as Fred and Muriel, our make up artist and hairdresser to the stars in Paris.

Paris Elopement: Tracy and Dan from Florida, USA
Yesterday, we had another small wedding with a wonderful couple from Florida, USA. Deciding to bring over a few close friends and some relatives, Dan and Tracy had their ceremony in the Chapelle Expiatoire on a gorgeous sunny day! We told them that they brought the sun! They might have left with it as well. The two had gotten engaged in Paris the year before after having been together for 7 years. After proposing, they marked their initials on a tree just near the Love Lock Bridge. We just can’t get enough of these romantic stories! Now Paris if forever theirs…

As always, many thanks to all our wonderful vendors who helped make Tracy and Dan’s special day possible! Fred and Murielle did a gorgeous job of both the bride and mother-in-law’s hair and makeup. Estelle, our fabulous florist, personally delivered their flower arrangements. Tracy thought they were stunning — (and so did we!) Philippe, our charming officiant gave a fantastic ceremony with some heart-felt words. Romain, the driver of that adorable Citroen 2CV, zoomed around town with our happy couple and Olivier, our photographer, for their photo tour after their ceremony. Olivier was so thrilled with Tracy and Dan’s photos that he was only too happy to share some with us (and all of you!) after giving the bride a sneak peek. To see more of their lovely photos, visit Olivier’s WeddingLight blog. After their city tour, Tracy and Dan joined the rest of their group for an exceptional meal at Lasserre just off the iconic Champs-Élysées.
