The launch of the end of the year’s festive season in Paris officially opened this week with the Lanvin / Le Printemps amazing window displays that were unveiled during a grand ceremony on wednesday. Every year, the iconic Parisian department store Le Printemps Haussmann dresses its large windows with opulent displays to celebrate the holiday season. In past years, the animated windows have been created by Haute Couture houses: Chanel (Karl Lagerfield) and Dior (Jean Paul Galliano).
Creative license was given to Alber Elbaz from Lanvin this year. Just like my son, I was mesmerized by the dancing “marionettes”, representing Mr. and Miss Lanvin and their numerous guests as they make their way through various rooms of a Chateau during christmas season.
The window displays can only be seen for 6 weeks, we had a great time. Parisians by the thousands will most certainly too.
