  • Paris Elopement: Lisa and Frank’s Stone Church Ceremony

Lisa and Frank originally contacted us in August with hopes of eloping to Paris in early September. So with only a few weeks to plan, we helped them create something truly special just for the two of them.

The day began in the cozy Eiffel Tower suite of the Radisson Blu Le Dokhan Hotel situated ideally between the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower. Frank had surprised his beautiful bride with the special room, as well a lovely bouquet of flowers. How sweet! With a gorgeous natural light shining into the rooms and clear blue skies, the day was starting well.  Both Frank and Lisa decided that they did not want to see each other before the ceremony. Lisa stayed in her intimate room to quietly think and write down her vows before being pampered by the hair and makeup team, while Frank positioned himself in the salon near the large window overlooking the city’s iconic monument to write his vows.  Soon after Fred, our fabulous makeup artist arrived to begin Lisa’s bridal session. She opted for a plum-colored eye and light pink lip. As for her hair, Muriel, our wonderful hairstylist arrived and helped create a romantic, loosely curled and braided updo with some floral accessories to finish the look. After stepping into her dreamy cream and gold strapless gown, our talented photographer, Olivier Lalin came in for some getting ready portraits. Alternating his time between the bride and groom, Olivier snaps shots of Lisa in her room preparing her final affairs and Frank getting into his suit and spending some quality time with his Swedish cousin that stopped by between flights for the big day. Isn’t that nice! After some fun photos, Frank and his cousin left for the church. Olivier was able to get some beautiful portrait shots of Lisa’s before the vintage cream and navy Bentley S1 arrived to pick her up and take her to the church. At there, Pastor McKall met with the lovely couple before beginning the ceremony. At the sound of Wagner Lohengrin’s “Bridal Chorus,” Frank and Lisa walked down the isle to begin their ceremony. After saying their traditional vows, the lovely couple read their personal remarks to one another. Pastor McKall pronounced them husband and wife at the American church of Paris.

  • Paris Elopement: Liza & Ira’s Palais Galliera Elopement

We had the great pleasure of helping an amazing couple, Liza and Ira, plan their very special vow-renewal here in Paris. After passing through some very emotional personal events during the planning process, the New Jersey couple’s time in the City of Love became extremely important. WeddingLight Events, of course, was only too happy to help them make their dream ceremony a reality. We feel so fortunate to have clients like Liza and Ira who so truly trust in our abilities to do what we love most!

Liza and Ira have been together for 10 years and exchanged vow in front of a stunning marble statue titled, “Protection and Future,” by Honoré Icard framed by glorious marbled columns. After a heartwarming tearful exchange, the couple shared a dance together as husband and wife before venturing off in their vintage Jaguar MK V for a tour of the city with their photographer, Olivier Lalin. The couple finished the evening with a divine dining experience at one of Paris’ most sought out restaurants: Alain Ducasse’s Restaurant at Le Meurice.

Liza was kind enough to send us a few touching words about our work, which we are very, very grateful to hear…

“I finally had a few moments to sit quietly and go through Olivier’s photos today, and I have to say I was completely moved. Somehow he captured the essence of how Ira and I feel for each other while including every special request I made including the amazing architecture and beautiful imagery. I knew he would be a great photographer, which is how I made my decision to go with him and WeddingLight Events, but I really wanted to let you know that your whole team — the hair, the makeup, the flowers, and your recommendation of venue for the vows, your own extreme attention to detail — everything about this experience was beyond compare — I cannot recommend you highly enough to other brides; You went above and beyond through all the crazy that was in our lives, helped me through the trauma of [some unexpected personal events] and the stress and worry of planning this experience from an ocean away. In the end, it turned out more special than I ever imagined possible — thank goodness for the one day of sun!! The photos of Ira as he said he vows to me brought tears back all over again. The great photos of us laughing and truly enjoying the city, the experience, and each other are priceless.

For everything you and Olivier did for us — Merci x 1,000,000,000!”

  • Paris Elopement: Sasha & Robb’s Stunning Church Ceremony

Sasha and Robb contacted us a few weeks ago in hopes of eloping to Paris. They had originally tried to plan everything themselves, but came into some trouble and decided we could best assist them in making their special day a reality. With only a week to plan and book everyone, we managed to create something truly memorable for them.

Sasha and Robb stayed in an incredible suite at the luxurious Four Seasons George V on avenue George V. Our charming hair and makeup duo, Fred and Muriel were called in for Sasha’s elegant wedding day look, which also included  a custom designed gown by a talented Russian designer.  The lovely couple then married at an incredible church by the Seine river in Paris’ chic 7th arrondissement. Following their beautiful ceremony, they drove around in a stunning Bentley S2 to take some photographs with our wonderful photographer, Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight Paris.

It was an absolute pleasure helping Sasha and Robb with their elopement and we wish them all the best in their new life together as one!

  • Paris Elopement: Jody & Paul from California, USA

I met Jody and Paul early one morning last week at the Four Seasons George V, a luxury five-star hotel just off the Champs-Elysées to discuss their Paris elopement. Although they had arrived late in the evening the night before, Jody looked fresh and lovely as she walked in to greet me. Paul had one of those smiles that is just so contagious that you cannot help but smile right back and immediately feel happy. While Jody and I chatted about their plans, Paul went out to get an extra bottle of champagne from Hediard for their big day. Olivier from WeddingLight; our Paris wedding photographer beautifully documented this lovely wedding day.

The couple wanted to enjoy something intimate and special together here in Paris before traveling to New Orleans where they would be having a big celebration – Cajun style – with all of their friends and family.

The next morning began with a massage at the hotel followed by hair and makeup for Jody done by our wonderful duo, Fred and Muriel. Jody opted for simple makeup and gorgeous soft curls to go go with her vintage French-laced gown and pearls – oo la la! Her bouquet of cream colored roses was taken care of by the hotel whose amazing florist is none other than Jeff Leatham. They then went off for a photo tour through Paris with our fabulous and fun photographer, Olivier Lalin of WeddingLight Photography. We are definitely thanking him for capturing these beautiful moments!

But, that was not the end of things for Jody and Paul. Since both of them are avid boat lovers, they decided to have their ceremony on a private yacht followed by a gourmet three-course dinner and three-hour cruise along the Seine. How romantic!
